UFC President Dana White continues to excite MMA fans by making the 11th season of this show much more dramatic and personal.
The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz is the show’s 11th installment of the UFC-produced reality series, this time it featured 28 fighters in the middleweight division, a weight class where contenders to Silva’s UFC Middleweight Championship are desperately needed. And UFC betting are also desperate for.
Liddell and Ortiz have fought each other twice in the past, with “The Iceman” beating “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” both times.
Both Ortiz and Liddell are coming off tough losing streaks in their UFC careers, courtesy of Forrest Griffin and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
The Finale is fast approaching and the fighters have been selected. Week after week, we have seen these guys beat each other to a pulp, as one goes home and another advance to the semi-finals. They are on a mission, and that mission is a payday. Every fighter that goes home is just another person out of the way, so the other get closer to landing that 6-figure UFC contract every MMA fighter will literally kill for.
This seasons wild card system has been implemented, where two previously eliminated fighters will have the opportunity to fight for the 8th and final spot in the semi-final round. Who and how that person snagged that privilege has been up for a lot of debate. Especially among the UFC betting community.
Now that the Official Fight card is ready for the June 19th Finale we know who will be up against whom. Are you ready for this showdown that has been building since the open tryouts where held October 26th 2009, in Los Angeles California. Over 300 fighters showed up that day. We are down to 10.
